Tatiana
Leftenant

11 YR. OLD CEO OF

SHEASCENTS, LLC

A young girl who turned the tables on her skin disease, and launched a business which treats the disorder, was the recipient of the “Teenpreneur of the Year” award at the 2015 Black Enterprise Entrepreneur Summit at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta.

Tatiana Leftenant, 11, started her own line of shea butter, Sheascents LLC, as a result of having eczema, a debilitating and often painful skin disease. Tatiana said her skin were frequently distressed by the ailment,  and the only relied she found from the burning and the itching was in the use of shea butter, therefore the enterprising prepubescent began making her own. Soon after, Tatiana and her family decided to turn her line of cream into a business.

Because Tatiana turned a negative situation into a money-making enterprise, she was able to take a dream trip to Atlanta and where she received the “Teenpreneur of the Year” award by Reggie Humphries of General Motors’ Supplier Diversity and Butch Graves, the CEO of Black Enterprise magazine.

Tatiana has also been interviewed by the likes of BET, so we predict this will not be the last you will hear — and see — the amazing young woman.
