Canvas

A child is a canvas, a beautiful blank slate,

We, the adults, are the artists

The painters..  our experiences and beliefs are our paint

What work of art are you creating?

Are you painting a masterpiece?  Something the world can be proud of and appreciate?

Something you can be proud of

Will people stand back and go “Damn, that’s nice! Beautiful!”

What does your canvas convey?  Beauty?  Ugliness?

What paints will you use on your canvas or the canvases around you?

Do you paint in hate or love or drugs or money or beauty or compassion or… what?

Do you paint “red vs. blue” landscapes?

Do you create beauty or a monstrosity?

Your artwork lives on long after you’re done painting

Bearing the colors you chose

Whatever your canvas can add to itself only rests upon the foundation you started from

Paint with love.  Paint with empowerment.  Paint with charity.  Paint with history.  Paint with pride.

The canvas is counting on you.
